I like the idea of an e-reader — you can take it anywhere. It's so portable and compact, you can store your whole library in it, and it has a long battery life. Every day, I see a post where someone talks about e-readers and how great they are. I'm sold, too. I understand why some people prefer them over physical books. And whenever I pack for a trip, I think to myself, "If only I had an e-reader."
What conflicts me in the whole physical books vs. e-readers argument is that I've always wanted to build my own library. I've always imagined a cozy corner of my room filled with shelves — a small personal library. A glimpse into everything I'm interested in or trying to learn about. I think that's beautiful.
Whenever I visit someone who has their own library, it always sparks an easy conversation. It's so simple — I just ask them to recommend a book from their collection.
With an e-reader, I wouldn't have the luxury of a physical library. And that's why I go for physical books.
